OPENCALL

12 dancers/movers will be selected to present their solo pieces in 4 shows (3 dancers per show) in the Cultural and Academic Center Teatro Casa de La Paz (UAM).
Performance dates: July 25 and 26, 2026 / September 4 and 5, 2026

Proposal Requirements​

• Dancers/movers focused on improvisation.

• Only one proposal per participant will be accepted.

• The proposal must be a composition of improvisation premiered in a scenic platform/festival.

• Duration of the improvisation: 15 minutes.

• Send complete audiovisual recording without edition (full-length video of the improvisation) and photographic material in high definition.

• ​Accommodation and transportation costs will be the responsibility of the applicant.

• In the event of having collaborators (musicians, technicians, etc.) their incorporation and costs will run on behalf of the applicant.

• The selection will be made based on the submitted material.

• Issue a CFDI to receive the payment.

Provided resources

• Season of four performances. (3 dancers per performance) at the Cultural and Academic Center Teatro Casa de La Paz (UAM).

• Staging and rehearsals with minimal equipment.

• Institutional promotion in collaboration with the selected creators. 

• Fees: a payment of 3,000 Mexican pesos per participant in each performance (details will be confirmed during the resolution).

Selection Criteria

The Selection committee will value: 

• Protect relevance within the Material Bruta program and its focus on improvisation.

• Clarity and strength on the approach from structures, languages or scripts of the scenic improvisation.

• Quality of the audiovisual material and delivered documentation.

• The Selection Committee will be composed of scenic art creators.

Registration and Submission of the Proposal

• The registration must be made exclusively through the online form.

• Submission period: up to 23:00h (Mexico central time) of Friday 10 July 2026

• Applications submitted through other means or after the indicated deadline will not be accepted.

Evaluation process 

• Resolution phase: decision up to the Selection Committee composed of scenic art creators.

• The decision of the committee shall be final and not subject to appeal.

• The results will be published on Monday 13 July 2026 through Physical Momentum’s web and social media.
